Artist Statement:

These photos, taken in Haiti, represent how Harlem has evolved to more than just a hub of African American culture but has also become home to many members of the African diaspora.  Today, generations of immigrants from several countries in Africa and the Carribean have made their home in Harlem.  These photos express the transnational sentimentality and geographic proximity of those who belong to the African diaspora.
