Revival         Reclamation             Regeneration            Reflection
Renewal                 Renovation              Reconstruction  Revivification          Re…cycling              Re…naissance

Any and all of these terms are descriptive of our world today and also descriptive of our urban settings, much like the Big Apple where I live.  It is that living Harlem and globe that I intend to illustrate through my recycling works.

The diversity of the world (the globalization, with all the new tools through which it is connected), the creativity and the composition that we can easily discover today, especially in Harlem, are for me a source of pride.

These birds are birds of independence and freedom, the light that we need to clear our journey and our lives. They are colorful, made with recycled materials, beads and textiles. They are the connection of Harlem with the rest of the world.
